Description

ToyBox Security is an online 1–4 player asymmetric comedy action game. Step into the shoes of an agent of ToyBox Security, Inc. — a fictional home security company run entirely by kids — and defend the home of vacationing homeowners with a loadout of traps built from toys, kitchen junk, and whatever else can hurt a burglar. Or play as the robbers: case the place, dodge the traps, loot the house, and catch the kid before either the cops show up or the kid catches you.

History

Development began in mid 2021 after solo developer thatcozydev set out to build the game he'd have wanted to play at eight years old — home alone, fending off burglars with traps made from toys and whatever he could find in the garage. After a couple of prototypes, the project grew into a 4-player asymmetric online comedy where ingenious traps, quick wits, and ragdoll physics drive the laughs.
